Tracking and Audit Trail FAQs
The document explains how users can track transaction progress and view detailed audit trails—including signer information, timestamps, locations, verification results, and notarization records—via the My Closings tab and specific transaction details such as summary, recipients, documents, identity verification, meeting recordings, notes, history, and activity logs, with options to download or share completed documents and audit trails.
Limit Document Visibility on All Transactions
The document visibility setting, which must be enabled by Proof, restricts each signer in multi-signer transactions to only see the documents they signed while allowing senders full access to the entire document package, and this setting applies universally to all such transactions without per-transaction adjustments.
Audit Trails Overview
Proof generates two audit trails for every completed transaction: a transaction-level audit trail providing a high-level summary of key signing events (such as signer details, ID verification, and seal application) reflecting only the most recent transaction, and a more detailed, tamper-sealed document-level audit trail embedded within the document itself that records all actions on the document and is viewable in Adobe Acrobat, with both accessible to anyone who has access to the document.
Notarize: Remote Online Notarization by Proof
Notarize by Proof offers a secure, 24/7 remote online notarization platform accepted in all 50 states, enabling individuals and businesses to notarize documents instantly without appointments, featuring compliant identity verification, optional witnesses, custom branding, and the ability to use either your own or Proof’s extensive notary network to ensure seamless, fraud-protected notarizations anytime.
eVault & eOriginal Integration Overview
The eVault & eOriginal Integration Overview explains that eOriginal provides a secure electronic vault for storing tamper-proof, permanently sealed documents and signatures with an audit trail, allowing customers with eOriginal accounts to manage eVault documents through Proof's interface or API.
Document pushback options – Proof Help Center
The Proof Help Center explains how to configure document pushback settings in the Proof Lender Portal, allowing users to choose whether completed e-signed files return to Encompass as merged PDFs or separate attachments, specify their pushback location (File Manager, custom folder, or original eFolder), manage audit trail PDF pushback with necessary permissions, and handle wet-signed documents in hybrid transactions with options for title agents to upload merged packages.
