Deactivate or Activate Existing EasyLinks – Proof Help Center
The Proof Help Center guide explains how to deactivate EasyLinks to prevent new recipients from accessing them by selecting and confirming deactivation, and how to reactivate them from the Inactive tab to restore access using the original link URL without needing to reshare.
The short answer: Deactivate an EasyLink to stop new recipients from using it, or reactivate one to make it available again.

1. Navigate to EasyLinks
Log in to your Proof account to complete the steps below.
- 1.Click Tools from the menu on the left.
- If you don't see the menu, click the arrow towards the upper left corner to expand it.
- 2.Select EasyLinks from the Tools page menu.
2. Deactivate an EasyLink
Deactivating an EasyLink prevents recipients from accessing it. The link is moved to the Inactive tab and can be reactivated at any time.
- 1.Check the box(es) next to the EasyLink(s) you'd like to deactivate.
- 2.Click Deactivate in the bar that appears above the list of links.
- 3.Click Deactivate in the pop-up window to confirm.
A banner appears to confirm the change and any deactivated EasyLinks are automatically moved to the Inactive tab.
3. Activate an EasyLink
Reactivating an EasyLink makes it available again — recipients can use the same link they had before.
Recipients can access newly activated EasyLinks with the same link they had before.
- 1.Click the Inactive tab at the top of the EasyLinks page.
- 2.Click the check box next to the EasyLink(s) you'd like to reactivate.
- 3.Click Activate in the bar that appears above the list of links.
Re-activated EasyLinks are automatically moved to the Active tab at the top of the EasyLinks dashboard.
Summary Checklist
- Navigate to Tools > EasyLinks.
- To deactivate: check the box(es), click Deactivate, and confirm in the pop-up.
- To reactivate: go to the Inactive tab, check the box(es), and click Activate.
- The original link URL remains the same after reactivation — no need to reshare.
