Edit Your Existing EasyLinks
This guide instructs organizations and Notary-Sourced Transaction Notaries (NSTs) on how to edit existing EasyLinks in their Proof account by navigating to Tools > EasyLinks, using the edit option accessed via the three vertical dots, and then changing the EasyLink’s name, selecting a different document template, or updating the payment options before saving the changes.
Audience: Organizations, Notary-Sourced Transaction Notaries (NSTs)
You can edit the name, payer settings, and details of any EasyLink you've created from the EasyLinks page in Tools.
If you haven't created EasyLinks yet, you can learn how to create them or learn more about EasyLinks in general from other resources.
1. Navigate to EasyLinks Editing
- 1.Log in to your Proof account.
- 2.Click Tools from the menu on the left.
- If you don't see the menu, click the arrow towards the upper left corner to expand it.
- 3.Select EasyLinks from the Tools page menu.
- 4.Click the 3 vertical dots on the right of the EasyLink you'd like to edit.
- 5.Select Edit to open the EasyLink form.
2. Change the EasyLink Name
To rename an EasyLink:
- 1.Click the pencil icon next to the name of the EasyLink at the top of the page.
- 2.Type the new name.
- 3.Press enter.
- 4.Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
3. Choose a Different Document Template
To swap the template attached to an EasyLink:
- 1.Click the 3 vertical dots on the right of the EasyLink you'd like to edit.
- 2.Select Edit to open the EasyLink form.
- 3.Click Select a different template.
- 4.Select the desired template from the list that appears.
- 5.Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.

4. Change Payment Option
To update who pays for transactions through this EasyLink:
- 1.Select the radio button next to the desired option under Who will be paying for the transaction?
- 2.Click Save changes at the bottom of the page.
Only notaries in certain states have access to different payment options. For more details, see resources about Payment options for Notary Sourced Transactions.
Summary Checklist
- Navigate to Tools > EasyLinks and click the 3 vertical dots next to the link, then select Edit.
- Use the pencil icon to rename the EasyLink; press Enter then Save changes.
- Use "Select a different template" to swap the attached document template.
- Update payment option (signer vs. organization) and click Save changes.
