eVaults for business – Proof Help Center

Proof integrates with eOriginal to enable business customers to securely eVault PDF documents by setting up their own eOriginal vault, configuring the integration via Proof’s admin panel with eOriginal credentials, marking documents for eVaulting either through the Proof interface or API, and after completing meetings, storing original signed documents in the eOriginal vault while retaining watermarked copies and audit trails within Proof.

Audience: Organizations

How It Works

Proof integrates with eOriginal to eVault documents for business customers. Proof does not maintain its own vault — you must have your own vault established with eOriginal. Work directly with your eOriginal representative to set up and maintain your vault.

A Proof administrator sets up the eOriginal integration in Admin under the Features section of your Organization Details page. Proof stores the credentials you provide:

  • eOriginal Login
  • eOriginal Organization
  • API Key

After the Proof team sets up the integration, you're ready to eVault your documents. Documents are stored in PDF format, and you can eVault any document.

Set Up Documents to eVault Through Proof

To designate that a document must be eVaulted, select the green lock icon under the document requirements section when creating a transaction.

Note: Store in eVault is OFF by default. Turn it on for every document you want to be stored in your vault.

Set Up Documents to eVault Through Proof's API

If you send documents through the Proof API, set the document requirement vaulted = true to mark that document to be sent and stored in your eOriginal vault.

Complete Your Meeting and Access Your Documents

Complete the meeting as usual on the Proof platform. After the session:

  • You have access to watermarked copies of the document(s) in Proof. Proof also retains watermarked copies.
  • The original, authoritative signed document(s) are sent to your eOriginal vault.

You can also view the Proof Audit Trail in eOriginal.
