If Your Document Has an Error
If your document has an error, contact Proof Support for notarization issues like missing seals or signatures, but for content errors such as incorrect information or wrong document versions, reach out to the sender or organization that provided the document, with contact details typically found in the email or Proof platform.
The short answer: Who you contact depends on the type of error. Mistakes in the document content go back to the sender; errors during the notarization itself come to Proof Support.
Document and Notarization Errors

Document Content Errors
If the error is in the document itself, not the notarization, such as:
- Incorrect personal information (name, address, etc.)
- Incorrect terms or conditions
- Wrong version of document
Who to contact: Reach out to the person from the organization who sent you the document. For example, if you're in a real estate transaction, contact your lender or title agent.
Not sure who that is? Check the email containing your document link for the company name. Contact information may also be in the panel to the left of your document in the Proof platform.
Our team cannot answer document-specific questions or authorize changes to the content.
