Proof has launched an On-Demand Witness feature within its Notarize Network, allowing trained online notaries to instantly join remote notarizations as witnesses, thereby streamlining the process, reducing wait times, enhancing document reliability, and preventing fraud in critical transactions like home purchases and estate planning.
It is not always easy to anticipate the need for a witness or find a witness you can trust when completing important documents. This can lead to a frustrating customer experience and an overall delay in completing critical, time-sensitive transactions.
Proof’s On-Demand Witness capability eliminates these pain points.
Notaries from the Proof Notarize Network, the world’s largest fleet of online notaries, can now summon a witness to join an online meeting with just the click of a button.
These On-Demand Witnesses are also trained members of the Notarize Network, who will join, perform their duties, and then leave to help serve other customers. The average wait time for a notary in the Notarize Network is less than a second, so the addition of the witness does not extend the time you need to complete the transaction.
In addition to simplifying the process of adding witnesses to transactions, Proof’s On-Demand Witness feature also leads to more reliable and accurate documents. Proof notaries are trained to assess fraud risk and, as witnesses to the signing, can help identify bad actors or prevent procedural mistakes from dooming complex transactions that usually revolve around important life events, like buying a home or building an estate plan.
