Opus Virtual Offices Customer Notarization Process
The Opus Virtual Offices customer notarization process involves filling out and uploading USPS Form 1583, providing two forms of acceptable ID (a photo ID and an address ID) for identity verification, connecting via live video with a commissioned notary who witnesses the signature, paying a $25 fee, and then submitting the notarized documents and IDs to Opus.
How it works
1. Prepare your Form 1583 for notarization
Fill out your USPS Form 1583 and upload it to Proof. You can access the form here in addition to personalized notes to guide you through filling out each box.
2. Provide proof of identity
Proof will ask you to upload two acceptable forms of ID (listed below) for identity verification and to validate the address on your USPS Form 1583.
3. Connect with a live notary
In seconds, Proof will connect you with a commissioned notary over a live video feed. The notary will confirm your identity, witness your signature, and assist you throughout the process.
4. Submit your documents
After the notary meeting, Proof will prompt for credit card payment before you can access and download your completed forms. You must then submit your notarized form and IDs to Opus.
