Place an Order from ResWare to Proof
The document explains how title agents can place orders from ResWare to Proof by first using the Send Order action to create a transaction shell, then Send Signings to add signer details, and finally either Send Documents to submit orders to Proof's Closing Operations team for quality check and delivery to signers, or, if sending directly to signers, to skip Send Documents and instead upload documents and send the transaction manually through the Proof platform.
Place an Order from ResWare
Audience: Organizations
The short answer: Use the Send Order, Send Signings, and Send Documents actions in ResWare to create and submit closing transactions to Proof. The workflow differs depending on whether you send directly to signers or via Proof's Closing Operations team.
Place an Order from ResWare
Title agents can set up actions in ResWare to streamline placing orders to Proof. Adeptive Support can assist with configuring these actions. Actions can also be performed manually from the XML and Documents tabs on the file in ResWare.
- 1.Send Order: This must be the first action completed. It creates a transaction shell in Proof that is not yet visible in the Proof platform. No other actions can be performed until this step is done.
- 2.Send Signings: This creates a draft transaction with all signer details in Proof. The transaction will appear as a draft in the title agency's Proof account.
- 3.Send Documents:
- Only perform this action if your title agency submits orders to Proof's Closing Operations team and does not send directly to signers or use an in-house notary workflow.
- This action adds documents to the transaction and places the order with Closing Ops.
- The transaction status will appear as Order Placed in Proof. Proof's Closing Operations team will then quality-check the documents and send them to the signer(s).
Send Directly to Signers
If you send transactions directly to signers rather than submitting orders to Closing Operations, do not use the Send Documents action from ResWare. Instead:
- 1.Complete the Send order and Send signings actions in ResWare.
- 2.Log in to your Proof account, open the draft transaction, and add your title documents.
- 3.Click Send transaction to send directly to the signer(s).
Let the Proof team know whether you are sending to signers directly or via Closing Operations to ensure your Proof account is configured correctly.
Delete and Recall Transactions
To recall a transaction from within ResWare, check the Cancel checkbox on the Signings tab and resend the signing. The transaction will be recalled in the Proof system. The title agent can later uncheck the Cancel checkbox and re-send the updated signing.
Summary Checklist
- Always complete Send Order first — this creates the transaction shell in Proof.
- Use Send Signings to create a draft with signer details in Proof.
- Only use Send Documents if submitting to Proof's Closing Operations team.
- If sending directly to signers, log in to Proof after Send Signings, add your documents, and click Send transaction.
- To recall a transaction, check the Cancel checkbox on the Signings tab in ResWare and resend.
