Platform Rebrand and Latest Developments
Starting August 10, Proof will begin transitioning its platform branding from Notarize to Proof, completing on September 14 with updated logos, colors, and copy while maintaining core product functionality—including new features like NIST IAL2-level identification and a trusted referee network—and during the 30-day overlap both Notarize and Proof URLs will operate concurrently before all traffic redirects to Proof.com, requiring users and IT departments to prepare for access and firewall updates.
When Proof was announced in June, the vision was to enhance trust in the digital world by backing transactions with strong identification and cryptographic evidence. This makes signatures harder to forge and documents easier to trust.
Starting Thursday, August 10, preparations for a full brand transition will begin, culminating on September 14. Here’s what you need to know and do to prepare for this transition.
New Look & Feel
On September 14, the Proof brand will be fully incorporated across the platform. This includes:
- Replacing the Notarize logo with the Proof logo
- Implementing the Proof branding color palette
- Updating copy and imagery in the portal to match the new identity
Notarize will continue to provide access to the largest on-demand notary network, with notaries and trusted referees available around the clock. Notarize will remain as a child brand of Proof.
Product Functionality
While the platform will receive a brand refresh, the core product functionality will remain unchanged.
Recent platform enhancements include:
- Reimagined Information Architecture
- Introduction of the Proof transaction type with NIST IAL2-level identification
- Launch of the first on-demand trusted referee network
- Addition of an Identity tab as part of Enhanced Signer Identification
Concurrent Access via Notarize.com and Proof.com
Starting August 10, both Notarize and Proof URLs (app.notarize.com and app.proof.com) will be available for 30 days. Both URLs will work for the Fairfax test environment and the live production environment. Users are encouraged to bookmark important pages on the new Proof URLs to ensure a smooth transition.
On September 14, all Notarize URLs will redirect to Proof URLs.
Customers should ensure access to app.proof.com during this transition. Some companies may need to update IT firewall or browser policies. A technical resource is available for IT departments.
Email Notifications
Companies should update firewalls, spam filters, and proxy allow lists to permit access to the Proof website (proof.com; support.proof.com) and emails from @proof.com.
- Emails from the Fairfax test environment will begin sending from @proof.com on August 10.
- Emails from the live production environment will begin sending from @proof.com on September 14.
A technical resource is available for IT teams for additional guidance.
Business Operations
The company is now known as Proof, but references to Notarize or “Notarize, Inc. (dba Proof.com)” may still appear in communications. For now:
- Continue sending checks to Notarize, Inc.
- List Notarize on checks or payments (ACH, Wire)
- Invoices will still come from Notarize
- Signers paying for transactions will still be charged by Notarize
For payment questions, contact finance@notarize.com.
API Changes
Proof will continue to support the Notarize API indefinitely to maintain existing integrations. For future integrations, use the Proof API. A technical resource is available for IT and developer teams.
