Prepare a Document After You Upload – Proof Help Center
Before your notarization session, recipients should rotate any misoriented pages and then use the toolbar to place all necessary fields (such as name and date) on their document, leaving the notary to add their required fields during the meeting.
Audience: Recipients
Before your notarization session, you'll place fields on your document to mark where your name, date, and other information will go. The notary adds their own required fields when you meet.
1. Rotate Your Pages (If Needed)
If any pages are sideways or upside down, rotate them before you place any fields. Rotating the document after fields are added isn't supported.
2. Place Your Fields
Use the toolbar on the right side of the screen to add fields to your document.
- 1.Select the field type you want from the toolbar on the right. Your cursor changes to show the selected field type.
- 2.Move your cursor to where you want to place the field.
- 3.Click that spot to place the field.
- 4.Repeat until all your fields are placed.
The notary places their own fields when you meet, so no need to add those.
Summary Checklist
- If you need to rotate a page, do it before placing any fields.
- Select a field from the toolbar, then click where to place it on your document.
- Repeat until all needed fields are placed — the notary handles their own required fields at the meeting.
