Defend Your Transactions
Defend uses AI-powered models and variables like email, phone, and location to analyze hundreds of different signals to flag suspicious activity or transactions that might be the result of a stolen or synthetic identity.
When Proof Defend is enabled, you have access to the following features:
- Full identity report on recipients
- Identity timeline
- Risk score
- Detailed risk signals on the Risk tab
- Plain-language AI risk summary, generated on demand from the Identity or Risk tab, with a recommended next step
- Deepfake detection on videos
You can also control which members of your team can access Defend features.

With Defend enabled, you can:
- Receive real-time alerts of suspicious activity.
- Download a full identity report on your recipients.
Try Defend Free for 30 Days
Eligible organizations can activate a free 30-day Defend trial directly from the Proof portal — no sales call required. During the trial, Defend runs on your live transactions so you can see real risk scores, deepfake detection results, and identity signals right away.
To start your trial: Look for the Try Defend banner on your dashboard and follow the prompts to accept the pilot terms. Defend activates immediately.
During the trial: You'll receive weekly digest emails summarizing your trial activity, plus expiration reminders at 5 days and 1 day remaining.
At the end of the trial: You can convert to a paid plan anytime from the portal. If the trial expires without conversion, Defend is automatically disabled.
The trial is available to Organization Owners and Admins whose org does not already have Defend enabled and has not previously completed a Defend trial. Not seeing the banner? Contact your CSM or sales team.
