Proof Release Notes: July 13, 2026 (DEPLOY-1318)
The July 13, 2026 Proof release introduces an AI-generated plain-language risk summary in the Defend Risk tab for Defend customers, manual template selection during document uploads for Enterprise Title customers (enabled upon request), and support for verifiable identity presentations via the OID4VCP standard through the Proof Identity Protocol API.

Enhancements
AI-Generated Risk Summary Now Available in the Defend Risk Tab
Defend customers can now see a plain-language AI-generated summary at the top of the Risk tab explaining why a transaction received its risk score. The summary includes the key signals that drove the score, positive factors that offset the risk, and a recommended next step. It is also included in downloadable identity reports, and users can submit feedback on each summary using a thumbs up or thumbs down.
- Audience: Business (including NST), Title, and Lender — Defend customers only
- Roles: Owners and Admins with the Fraud role enabled
- Availability: Available automatically to all Defend customers when navigating to the Risk tab or downloading an identity report. Summaries are generated on demand, not precomputed. Applies to previously executed transactions.
Manual Template Selection Now Available During Document Upload
Users can now manually apply a template to an uploaded document, automatically copying over all of the template's fields. This serves as an alternative to automatic template matching. Users may select a template from their document template list or choose "No template" to upload the document without any fields applied.
- Audience: Enterprise Title customers with access to create and manage document templates
- Roles: Owners, Admins, and users with send & manage permissions
- Availability: Off by default; must be requested and enabled by CSM. Once enabled, the template picker appears automatically in the document upload modal. Applies to future transactions only.
Verifiable Identity Presentations Now Available via OID4VCP Standard
Organizations using the Proof Identity Protocol API can now request verifiable, cryptographically-signed identity presentations from their users via the OID4VCP (OpenID for Verifiable Credential Presentation) standard. Users are redirected to Proof to authenticate and consent to share specific identity attributes. Organizations receive a machine-readable vp_token — no credential infrastructure to build, no raw identity data to store.
- Audience: Business and Real Estate — Premium tier API integrators
- Roles: Owners and Admins (OAuth app configuration); Signers and Recipients (verification and consent flow)
- Availability: On by default for Business Pro+ and above via API tools. Enabled org-by-org for vetted integrators by CSM/Sales.
