Salesforce: View and Manage Transactions
The Salesforce guide explains how to view detailed transaction information, send automated or manual email/SMS reminders to signers, manually refresh transaction data from Proof, troubleshoot common issues like missing updates or documents, and ensure proper permissions and integration for managing transactions effectively.
View Transaction Information
After sending a transaction, select the dropdown next to the transaction name to view additional details, including:
- The primary signer
- The date the transaction was sent
- The list of documents included in the transaction
- The detailed transaction status
Transaction status helps identify whether the signer has opened, started, completed, or abandoned the transaction workflow.
Send Reminders to Signers
If a signer does not complete the transaction within 24 hours, Proof automatically sends a reminder email. To manually send a reminder:
- 1.Select the alarm clock icon next to the transaction status.
- 2.Select one of the available reminder options:
- Send Reminder via Email — allows you to add a custom message before sending.
- Send Reminder via SMS — available only if the signer has an SMS-capable phone number on the transaction.
SMS reminders require a valid mobile phone number to be included with the signer's information during transaction creation.
Manually Refresh Transaction Information
- 1.Select the dropdown next to the transaction.
- 2.Select Refresh Data from Notarize.
This pulls the latest transaction status and data from Proof.
If you're using automatic document retrieval, you may need to fully refresh the browser page before completed documents appear in the Notes and Attachments section.
Troubleshooting
- Transaction updates not appearing → manually refresh the transaction data.
- SMS reminders unavailable → confirm the signer has a valid mobile number.
- Completed documents missing → fully refresh the Salesforce browser page.
- Transaction information appears outdated → verify the Salesforce integration is communicating successfully with Proof.
- Transaction controls unavailable → confirm your Salesforce account has the required permissions.
Summary Checklist
- Select the dropdown next to the transaction name to view status and details.
- Send reminders via the alarm clock icon — email or SMS (SMS requires a valid mobile number).
- Dropdown → Refresh Data from Notarize to pull the latest transaction data from Proof.
