Transaction Templates Overview – Proof Help Center
Transaction templates in Proof, available for Business Pro and Pro+ accounts, allow users to quickly start new transactions from pre-configured, Proof-curated use cases that pre-fill transaction types, document requirements, and signer settings, while still permitting full customization before sending, though these templates do not constitute legal advice.
The short answer: Transaction templates let you start a new transaction from a pre-configured use case, saving time on setup. Templates are available for Business Pro and Pro+ accounts.
Templates are curated by Proof and are not legal advice. You can edit all transaction settings after selecting a template; templates simply pre-fill the configuration for you.
What are transaction templates?
When you select Send new transaction, a side drawer opens with two sections:
- New Transaction: Standard transaction types such as Notarize, Sign, Identify, and Verify.
- New from Template: Proof-curated templates for common use cases, pre-configured with the appropriate transaction type, document requirements, and signer settings for your account tier.
Templates are targeted based on your organization's available configurations and account tier. The templates you see may differ from those of another organization.
Start a transaction from a template
- 1.From your Transactions dashboard, select Send new transaction in the upper right corner.
- 2.In the side drawer that opens, scroll to the New from Template section.
- 3.Select the template that matches your use case.
- 4.Review and edit the pre-filled transaction settings as needed — you can adjust any field just like a normal transaction.
- 5.When ready, select Send to send the transaction to your signer.
Selecting a template pre-fills the transaction requirements, but you can still edit any setting before sending — templates are a starting point, not a locked configuration.
