Use Your Phone for Audio During a Meeting – Proof Help Center
If your computer audio fails during a Proof meeting, you can switch to U.S.-based phone audio by selecting "Phone" in A/V settings, entering your number, and answering the call to sync audio while keeping your computer camera on, with your computer microphone auto-muted and the call ending automatically when the meeting finishes.
The short answer: If your computer audio isn't working during a meeting, you can dial in from your phone for audio while keeping your camera on your computer — no app download required.
Call In for Audio During a Meeting
How It Works
To keep your meeting secure and valid, you must remain connected to both audio and video through the Proof platform for the entire session. When you switch to your phone for audio, the following happens:
- Auto-Mute: Your computer microphone is automatically muted to prevent echoing.
- Auto-End: The call ends automatically as soon as your meeting is finished.
Note:
- U.S. numbers only: Only U.S. phone numbers are supported. If you have an international number, use the Notarize mobile app instead.
