Verify Your Identity Without a Social Security Number

Individuals without a Social Security Number or ITIN can verify their identity by providing a current or previous U.S. address, uploading ID and selfie photos, and connecting with a notary during eligible transactions or document signings, following prompts that include checking a box indicating they lack an SSN or ITIN.

Audience: Everyone

If you don't have a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN), you can still verify your identity by following alternative steps. You'll need a current or previous U.S. address to use this option.
