What’s Coming for Notaries Using Proof

Proof is introducing several upcoming improvements for notaries, including customizable opportunity alerts via email or SMS to fit their schedules, and a redesigned homepage that provides a comprehensive, user-friendly dashboard displaying recent meetings, progress, payouts, and resources, all based on direct feedback to enhance visibility, financial flexibility, and connection within the notary network.

Every year on November 7, National Notary Public Day is celebrated to recognize the essential work notaries do in upholding trust in everyday life. Notaries play a crucial role in confirming identity, preventing fraud, and helping people complete important milestones.

At Proof, there is a commitment to providing notaries with tools and opportunities that reflect the importance of their work. Over the coming months, several improvements will be released to give notaries more visibility, financial flexibility, and a stronger sense of connection to the broader notary network. These updates are based on direct feedback from notaries about what helps, what hinders, and what would make a meaningful difference in their daily experience.

Notary Opportunity Alerts That Fit Your Schedule

Many notaries have experienced unpredictable timing for new opportunities, leading to missed alerts and difficulty in consistently picking up sessions. Soon, notaries will be able to customize how and when they receive notifications for new opportunities. Preferences can be set for email or SMS, and notaries can select the days and times they wish to be notified. This flexibility allows notaries to participate on their own terms while staying connected to signers who need support.

The goal is to make opportunities easier to see and act on, making engagement more sustainable, especially for those balancing notary work with other responsibilities.

A New Homepage Experience Built for Real Daily Use

The current online notarization homepage provides only basic information and does not fully support the day-to-day work of notaries. A redesigned homepage is being developed to serve as a true home base for notaries on Proof. The new homepage will display the most relevant information immediately upon sign-in, including recent meetings, panels, standing and progress, action items, payout status, and training or resources.

The aim is clarity—when logging in, notaries should instantly understand what needs attention and where to go next, without searching or memorizing. This redesign will also serve as a foundation for ongoing improvements, creating a more cohesive and supportive working environment over time.

Instant Payouts Through Visa Direct

Speed is important, especially when notary income supports personal or business goals. Waiting several days for payouts can cause unnecessary delays. Soon, eligible notaries will be able to receive available earnings instantly to an eligible Visa debit card. When funds are available, notaries will have the option to transfer them within minutes, providing more predictability and control over finances. The rollout will begin with a minimum balance requirement and initial support for Visa Direct, with further guidance to be provided as the feature becomes available.

A Stronger Community and Support Network

Notaries have expressed a desire for a space to connect with each other for real discussion—sharing best practices, handling unusual scenarios, managing rare document types, structuring schedules, and growing capabilities. To support this, a community discussion space is being created for notaries using Proof to connect directly. This space will facilitate sharing, learning, and contributing to the collective knowledge of the network. More details about joining will be shared soon.

What Holds It All Together

These updates are focused on clarity, flexibility, and recognition of the expertise notaries bring to their work. The objective is to support the professionals who support trust. Features will roll out in phases over the coming months, with support materials and guidance provided.
