Where to Find Your Completed Documents and Videos
Access to completed documents and video recordings varies by role and transaction origin: organizations always have access via their account dashboard, signers can access documents after payment, in-house and notaries sourcing transactions can download completed documents from their organization's account, while on-demand notaries can only view their meeting videos and journal entries but not download completed documents.
The short answer: Where you access your completed documents and video recording depends on your role and how the transaction was created.
Transactions Created by Organizations
Organizations always have access to completed documents without requiring the signer to forward them.
- If the signer pays: The organization and signer both receive the document once the signer completes payment.
- If the organization pays: The document is available to the organization immediately after signing is complete.
To access files from a completed transaction, follow the instructions for what you need:
- Download Completed Documents from Your Organization's Account
- Download your signer's video meeting
Transactions Created by Signers
If you uploaded your own document, you can access it after paying for the transaction. Follow the instructions in Download or Share Your Completed Documents.
Notary Access to Documents
Notary access depends on how the transaction was created and your notary type.
In-House Notaries (IHNs)
Follow the instructions to download completed documents from your organization's account.
On-Demand Notaries (ODNs)
On-demand notaries cannot access completed documents for calls answered in the on-demand queue. You can view the entry in your notary journal and watch the video in your meeting history. Follow the instructions to access and download a video.
Notaries Sourcing Transactions (NSTs)
If you sent the transaction to the signer, follow the instructions to download completed documents from your organization's account.
Summary Checklist
- Organizations can access completed documents and video recordings from the Transaction Management dashboard.
- Signers access their completed document after payment is made.
- IHNs and NSTs can download completed documents. ODNs can access their video meeting and journal entry only.
